Article Title
200 ICP CX Platform May Encounter Voice Quality Issues
Publish Date
Oct-24-2005

Body/Solutions
Problem

A limited number of installations of the 200ICP CX platform may experience voice quality issues, this does not affect the MX platform

Symptoms

Desktop sets connected to the 200 ICP CX Platform will report that during a conversation, they notice noise on their receive path. The noise is a distorted sample of their voice, delayed slightly.

This noise is noticeable only when external party, interjects, or talks at the same time as the internal party. This is only a factor when the connection to the PSTN is via LS trunks.

Cause

It is caused by an issue in the DSP software that resides in the 200 ICP CX. Design is currently working on a solution to the issue, which will be issued as soon as available.

Solution

As stated, this will not happen on all installations, and most voice quality issues can be rectified by using the LS Measurement Tool, and adjusting the impedance settings in the Trunk Circuit Descriptor.

If the crafts-person has aligned the LMT results with the impedance settings, and the voice quality has not improved, then please engage product support .
