To do a complete backup of the database, it should be done to the FTP Server. When the database is backed up to the FTP Server, it also backs up the Voicemail database. The screen in maintenance will alert you to the fact that the Voicemail will not be available during the backup process. If users are accessing voicemail when the backup is attempted, it will not kick anyone off voicemail, but will wait to do the backup when all the voicemail ports are idle. If the voicemail remains busy until the ftp session timeout expires (approx 5 minutes), the backup will time out and a failure mesage "Error with voicemail backup or restore" will
be displayed. Try the backup later when the voicemail ports are idle. You can view the status of the voicemail ports in maintenance
by pressing Reports>Show>Status>Voicemail. If they are idle, they will appear as Waiting For Call. |
