| Menu tree selections will only work correctly if the DN for a choice in the menu has a mailbox associated with it. To route a caller as desired, one of 2 methods must be used. |

Body/Solutions
|
In these examples, the desired destination is 1-800-561-0860
1) Call Forwarding an internal set (phantom or real) to an outside line, and creating a mail box for the forwarded DN.
EX: Menu choice 1 = 2501. Extension 2501 in the PBX is forwarded always to a system abbreviated dial entry that contains 918005610860.
2) Create a mail box that matches your system's abbreviated dial access code (form 2, feature 24) and index number (form 31). This method will not work for all systems as the mailbox must match the system's numbering plan length.
EX: Menu choice 1 = 3301.
System Abbreviated Dial access code (FAC 24)= 3
Form 31, index number 301= 918005610860
or
EX: Menu choice 1=3301
System abbreviated Dial access code = 33
Index 01= 918005610860
If the total number of digits for FAC24 and the index number exceeds the programmed mail box length, the first method must be used. |
