How to format the Internal 256 Meg flash used on the 200 ICP

Description/Symptoms
Here is a procedure for reformatting the Internal 256 meg flash card to get rid of the partitions on it.

Body/Solutions
If you want to use the internal flash card on the 200 ICP as an external flash card, you need to reformat the card and remove the partition. If you have Windows 2000 or XP on your PC, here is a procedure to follow .


- Start --> Settings --> Control Panel
- select Administrative Tools
- select Computer Management
- under storage select Disk Management
- select the drive that is assigned to the Flash Card reader
- The information shown on the right side should indicate the drive was FAT and was 4 Meg while there were
2 other partitions (NTFS)
- Right click in the right pane where the 4 Meg partition is shown and select "delete partition"
- now create a primary partition (On that drive) and it will get formatted.
- now it should show as being a 2XX meg flash card and you should now be able to format it use it as an external flash card.
