Summary
Mitel has recently noted an increase in reported failures of SX-2000 and SX-200 ONS line cards for symptoms listed below.
Symptoms
-circuits going into a locked out state
-unable to draw dial tone when going off-hook on a circuit
-ring trip when the circuit is called
-static on circuits
-phantom dialling in one instance
Details
The following cards are affected on the SX-2000 and the 3300 ICP
- MC320FA
(ONS CLASS LINE CARD POS DIS)
- MC320CM (ONS CLASS POS DIS IBR LINE CARD)
- MC320CL (ONS CLIP POS DISCONNECT LINE CARD)
The following cards are affected on the SX-200 and SX-200 ICP
-9109-010-000 (ONS LINE CARD)
-9109-010-003 (BONS LINE CARD)
-9109-110-001 (ONS CLASS LINE CARD)
-9109-110-002 (BONS CLASS LINE CARD)
The issue is related to a production issue on limited quantities of the ONS line interface hybrids
The issue has been identified and corrective actions in the manufacturing process have been put in place to alleviate the elevated field reported issues.
