The arrow keys on your keyboard will not function if Secure Telnet is running on your PC from a Winzip archive.
When your PC is connected to the SX-200 ICP, the Secure Telnet program must be running from the installation directory in order for the arrow keys to function .
- If Secure Telnet is run from the installation directory, the arrow keys should work.
- If it is run from the Winzip archive, the arrow keys will NOT work. The program must be extracted from the archive.
- If it is run from a Desktop shortcut, the arrow keys will NOT work. You must correct your Desktop shorcut.
To correct your Desktop shortcut, do the following:1. Right click on the shortcut used for Secure Telnet.
2. Click Properties. There will be a "Target" and a "Start In" field. The problem arises when the "Start In" field is not completed. It should contain the drive letter and the path to the directory where the Secure Telnet.exe file is located. It should contain the same path info as the 'Target" field, except it will not have the executable at the end. For example, if your Target Field contains C:\Program Files\Telnet\securetelnet.exe, then your Start In field should contain C:\Program Files\Telnet.) |
